The Sleep and Fatigue Research Laboratory (P.I.: Dr. Rachel Markwald) at the Naval Health Research Center in San Diego, CA is seeking a full-time professional research assistant. The lab's mission is to provide data-driven solutions for mitigating the effects of sleep loss, circadian misalignment, and fatigue on the health and performance of military service members.
Responsibilities for the applicant will be to assist in conducting research studies with a focus on physiology and performance as it relates to sleep, circadian rhythms, fatigue, and military performance in both laboratory and field-based environments.
-Bachelor's degree in physiology, psychology, neuroscience, cognitive science, exercise science, kinesiology, or a related field.
-Experience in research on sleep, circadian, and human performance/physiology preferred.
-U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain a Secret government clearance are required.
