New Extended Deadline for Special Topic
Sleep and Hypoglossal Nerve Stimulation

The Sleep Research Society Foundation (SRSF) recognizes the challenges of transitioning from post-doctoral training to independent research funding. The goal of these mentored awards is to invest in promising early career researchers and assist with their transition into independence as junior investigators.
The SRSF expects to fund one award up to $50,000 for one year of support for this special topic. Recipients are expected to apply for a mentored or independent federal research award within the funding period. A second year of funding is not available.
Example Projects Include:
1. Mechanism of action of hypoglossal nerve stimulation
2. Physiological investigations of implanted patients with inadequate responses
3. Novel biomarkers to predict response to hypoglossal nerve stimulation
