The Membership and Communications Committee makes recommendations to the Board related to the recruitment of new members, and retention of and communication with current members. For board-approved programs, the Committee works with SRS staff to develop materials and activities used to attract new members, and to develop membership services to retain existing members. Membership services include all routine forms of societal communications. Working in conjunction with the Editor of the SRS Bulletin, the Committee is responsible for proposing content for the SRS Bulletin, and proposes items for the SRS Update to SRS staff. The committee also makes suggestions to the Board for new or revised content on the SRS website, ensuring that the content is accurate and relevant to the organization’s mission and goals.
