The SRS publishes Classic papers that span more than a century of sleep research for reference purposes. Members can help this collection grow by submitting a classic paper. To submit a paper, please send it to John Noel at jnoel@srsnet.org or fax a good quality copy to (630) 737-9790.
For each of the historical papers displayed on this page, the SRS has either received expressed permission from the copyright holder or the paper falls into the category of Public Domain:
“As a result of the 1976 Copyright Act, any of the works in question whose author had died over 50 years prior to 1978 would have entered the public domain after Dec. 31, 1977 … If the author died in 1933 or later, the work will be protected for 70 years after the author’s death, due to the passage of the Sonny Bono Copyright Term Extension Act in 1998."
