Postdoctoral Fellowship Opportunity
Postdoctoral fellowship position at Harvard Medical School to study the role of inflammation in obstructive sleep apnea (OSA) using an integrated approach that combines the findings from genome wide association studies (GWAS) with mice studies modeling the genes identified in GWAS. Candidates with experience and an interest in one or more of the following areas are encouraged to apply, but all applications will be considered based on merit: human research including GWAS, genetics, bioinformatics/statistics, epidemiology, & sleep/OSA; basic research in immunology, sleep, physiology, & behavior using mouse models. Training in these and other technical areas is available. Principal Investigators: Susan Redline and Mark Zielinski. This multidisciplinary project between two research groups uses diverse approaches in a collaborative manner to investigate the pathological consequences of OSA, respiratory challenge, & sleep loss. Candidates should have the ability to work both independently and cooperatively as a member of a larger group. Please indicate if you are a permanent resident/US citizen or not.
