The Sleep Research Society is currently accepting nominations for service on the Board of Directors in the capacity of President-Elect and Director-at-Large. To be considered for the positions, individuals must be regular or emeritus members of the SRS; individuals may self-nominate for any of the positions.
Interested candidates are reminded to consider the time commitment associated with the positions, which generally includes frequent conference calls and three face-to-face meetings that may require weekend travel. A basic description of duties, responsibilities and terms of office is contained in the SRS bylaws, which are available online at www.sleepresearchsociety.org/ByLaws.aspx. Candidates should also review the conflict of interest policy available online at www.sleepresearchsociety.org/PDFs/COIDisclosurePolicy.pdf.
To nominate an individual for a position of President-Elect, or one of the three open Director-at-Large seats, please send a brief letter of interest and two-page curriculum vitae or NIH biosketch by Friday, December 9, 2011, to Nick Cekosh, SRS Coordinator, at ncekosh@srsnet.org.
