Membership is on a calendar year basis (January 1 - December 1). Membership dues are prorated to the amounts below from June 1,2009 to September 30,2009.
FULL MEMBER
Annual Dues: $180.00 - $90.00 for the rest of 2009.
Individuals possess doctoral degrees and have either published sleep-related research or have documentation of research. Includes print and online versions of SLEEP and the online version of the SRS Bulletin.

ASSOCIATE MEMBER
Annual Dues: $90.00 - $45.00 for the rest of 2009.
Individuals with special training who are actively engaged in sleep research, usually in a laboratory. Includes print and online versions of SLEEP and the online version of the SRS Bulletin.

STUDENT MEMBER
Individuals engaged in an academic program of study with sleep research related component on at least a half-time basis. (Student members must be endorsed by a full or emeritus member in good standing.)

POSTDOCTORAL FELLOW

Individuals have received their terminal degree and are in a residency or fellowship program. Includes print and online versions of SLEEP and the online version of the SRS Bulletin (Membership in this category is limited to 3 years*).

PREDOCTORAL STUDENT
Annual Dues: $45.00 - $25.00 for the rest of 2009.
Individuals pursuing undergraduate, masters, and doctoral degrees. This category includes individuals who earned their undergraduate degree within the last two years and work in a sleep research laboratory prior to pursuing advanced degrees. Includes the online versions of SLEEP and the online version of the SRS Bulletin (Membership in this category is limited to 5 years*).
*Membership in these categories is limited to the terms above unless written verification is provided that the member qualifies for additional years as either a Predoctoral Student Member or Postdoctoral Fellow Member.

EMERITUS MEMBER
Individuals have been Full Members for at least ten years and have attained the age of 65. Those who wish to change their membership status to “Emeritus” should contact the SRS National Office.

CORRESPONDING MEMBER

Individuals who are non-US resident scientists in the field of sleep research and whose financial and academic situation renders it difficult
for them to pay full member dues. Corresponding members must reapply annually. To apply for Corresponding Membership, please submit a letter
requesting Corresponding Member status describing the hardship that necessitates such application via fax or mail. Reductions in the SRS membership
