Sleep
The Committee on Animal Reseach Ethics wrote this brochure to tell patients,
the public, and health care personnel about the critical role that animals play
in helping us to understand and treat sleep disorders.
Visits to National
Institutes of Health
The SRS Board of Directors frequently asks Board members to attend meetings and
other functions at the National Institutes of Health and other governmental
agencies. This article presents some guidelines for the visit and suggestions
for items to include in a report to the SRS Board.
SLEEP-L listserve
The email listserve "SLEEP-L" is dedicated to promoting consultation and the
free exchange of ideas among members of the international community of sleep
researchers and practitioners.
PEDSLEEP listserve
The PEDSLEEP email listserve has 346 professional members and serves as a forum
for discourse about sleep and sleep disorders in infants and children.
Women in Sleep and Rhythm
Research
An informal gathering of a group of scientists at the 1992 meeting of the
Association of Professional Sleep Societies (APSS) meeting in Phoenix, Arizona
was organized by Mary Carskadon and her colleagues to discuss issues of women
in sleep research.
