Funding Opportunities
 

There are a variety of funding opportunities available for sleep researchers. Check back to this page regularly for updates and new opportunities posted.

J. Christian Gillin, M.D. Research Grant
The SRSF J. Christian Gillin, M.D. Research Grant is intended to support beginning investigators in sleep research for the purpose of gathering pilot data to be used for future grant applications. Up to three, one-year grants will be funded with each in the amount of up to $20,000.

Elliott D. Weitzman, M.D. Research Grant
The SRSF Elliott D. Weitzman, M.D. Research Grant is intended for researchers to gather additional pilot data for NIH or other federal grants that are scored but not funded (the SRS assumes that such grants have been reviewed by NIH). Grants that will be considered are those that have a sound plan but were noted for inadequate preliminary data or evidence of feasibility. Up to three, one-year grants will be funded with each in the amount of up to $20,000.

National Institutes of Health
The National Center on Sleep Disorders Research (NCSDR) transmits email announcements about research initiatives and activities of interest to the sleep and circadian community.

Hospes Sueños 2008 International Award
The prestigious Hospes Hotels & Moments luxury and design hotel collection, in collaboration with the Sociedad Española del Sueño – Spanish sleep Association (SES), the leading exponent in research and development of Sleep Medicine in Spain, announces for third consecutive year The Hospes Sueños International Award to the best scientific study on sleep habits.
