Spring 2010 Issue of the SRS Bulletin is Now Available

Volume 16, Issue 1 of the SRS Bulletin is now available on the SRS website. A few highlights from the new issue include the Research Spotlight on “Novel Findings on the Molecular Effects of Sleep Deprivation,” an update from the NCSDR, and a summary of the NSF's Sleep in America Poll 2010. New for this issue, SRS Members will no longer be required to login to the SRS website to view the Bulletin.

The First Interview of the Conversations with Our Founders Project Posted on the SRS Website
The first in this series of interviews with the individuals that were integral in the formation of the SRS and the establishment of the field of sleep research is now on the website. The first interview to be posted is Dr. Bill Dement being interviewed by Dr. Tom Roth.

Call for Nominations-SRS Awards
The SRS Board of Directors requests nominations for 2011 SRS Awards. This year, the awards process has been modified to make the nomination process easier. A standard form for each award has been created and can be downloaded via the appropriate link below. All of the Awards listed below will be presented at SLEEP 2011 in Minneapolis, Minnesota.

New Contact Information for the National Office
The national office for the Sleep Research Society and the Sleep Research Society Foundation moved into a new headquarters in June. The phone number, fax number, and mailing address have changed.

The SRS Basics of Sleep Guide, second edition is intended to serve as a study aid for students, clinicians, sleep researchers, and non-sleep professionals interested in all aspects of sleep.
